چکیده

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to invite comment on the proposed use of the 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz bands for wireless point-to-point services including carriage of broadband wireless technology. • whether the proposed coordination arrangements are appropriate for the proposed spectrum use including whether the proposed database recording method, and self-coordination, arrangements are appropriate; • which licensing methodology is preferred; and • any other relevant matters that should be considered. Publication of submissions In general, ACMA publishes all submissions it receives. ACMA prefers to receive submissions which are not claimed to be confidential. However, ACMA accepts that a submitter may sometimes wish to provide information in confidence. In these circumstances, submitters are asked to identify the material over which confidentiality is claimed and provide a written explanation for confidentiality claims. ACMA will consider each claim for confidentiality on a case by case basis. If ACMA accepts a confidentiality claim, it will not publish the confidential information unless required by law to do so. When can ACMA be required by law to release information? Any submissions provided to ACMA may be released under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. ACMA may also be required to release submissions for other reasons including for the purpose of parliamentary processes or where otherwise required by law (for example a court subpoena). While ACMA seeks to consult submitters of confidential information before that information is provided to another body or agency, ACMA cannot guarantee that confidential information will not be released through these or other legal means.

Multi-Gigabit Wireless Link Development

CSIRO ICT Centre is developing millimetre wave point-to-point links suitable for multigigabit wireless connectivity. Suitable spectrum for this purpose is allocated at the 60 GHz band and above. This paper reports a new point-to-point link that will be installed at Marsfield site to demonstrate multi-gigabit operation and performance of its key components. The link will operate at the 81-86 GHz...

Heterogeneous Wireless Network with Millimetre Wave Small Cell Access and Backhauling

The MiWaveS (Beyond 2020 heterogeneous wireless network with Millimetre Wave Small cell access and backhauling) project aims to contribute some key aspects to the ongoing definition of 5G, i.e. the next generation of wireless telecommunications [2]. Specifically, it will show how high-throughput and low-latency heterogeneous mobile networks, based on flexible spectrum usage of the millimetre wa...

Effect of Nonlinear Phase Variation in Optical Millimetre Wave Radio over Fibre Systems

In this paper, we propose an optical millimetre wave radio-over-fibre (mm-wave RoF) system that uses a dual drive Mach Zehnder modulator (DD-MZM), which is biased at the maximum transmission biasing point, to generate an optical double sideband-suppressed carrier. The input to the DD-MZM are binary phase shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), 8-phase shift keying (8-PSK) and...

0.1-μm InAlN/GaN High Electron-Mobility Transistors for Power Amplifiers Operating at 71–76 and 81–86 GHz: Impact of Passivation and Gate Recess

We have developed 0.1-μm gate-length InAlN/GaN high electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) for millimeterwave (MMW) power applications, particularly at 71–76 and 81–86 GHz bands. The impacts of depth and width of the gate recess groove on electrical performance have been analyzed and compared. Competing passivation technologies, atomic layer deposition (ALD) aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and plasma-enh...
